War in Ukraine exhibition opens in WC
Hoffman’s photographs on display through Sunday
Brendan Hoffman, photographer-in-residence at the Daily Freeman-Journal, opened his exhibition of photographs entitled War in Ukraine Monday night.
The war in eastern Ukraine began nearly six years ago. After showing the work last year at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art in Chicago, Hoffman brought his photographs from Ukraine here to Webster City.
The exhibit will be presented at 620 Second St., Monday, Jan 20 through Sunday, Jan. 26. 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Hoffman, who has lived and worked in Ukraine for several years, will be at the exhibition periodically throughout the week. Monday night, he visited with those attending and answered questions about his work and life in Ukraine.
