The Webster City Fire Department is in recruiting for volunteer firefighters.

Fire Chief Chuck Stansfield said those interested can find the application on the city’s website, www.webstercity.com or they can stop at the fire station to fill out an application.

“We will be conducting a physical agility test and interviews on Jan. 11, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.,” he said.

Stansfield said responsibilities for volunteers include drills on the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. along with achieving a Firefighter I certificiation, which is paid for by the department. The volunteers need to respond to mover 70 percent of the emergency calls each year.
