STRATFORD — Stratford officially welcomed a new bank to their community Friday morning with a ribbon cutting at Security Savings Bank.

“We feel like we’ve been here for a long time,” commented bank president Brad Lane just before cutting the ribbon. “We want to be involved in the community and look forward to that.”

Monica Ahrens, president of the Stratford Community Development Corporation, said a few words of welcome and presented Lane with a plaque.

Security Savings Bank has offices in Boxholm, Dayton, Farnhamville, Gowrie, Harcourt, and Lehigh, in addition to their newest branch in Stratford. The new bank is located in the location of the former U.S. Bank at 725 Shakespeare Ave., Stratford.
