NEH Elementary School hosts winter concert

— Daily Freeman-Journal photo by Teresa Wood The NEH sixth grade band played a selection of holiday music at the “All Bundled Up” winter music concert Thursday night.

BLAIRSBURG – Northeast Hamilton Elementary presented its winter concert “All Bundled Up” on Thursday night in Blairsburg. The Kindergarten class sang “Listen to the Bells,” “Mittens and Gloves” and “If I Could Fly Like a Snowflake.”

The combined choir of first and second grade sang “Winter Again,” “Winter Fairy Song” and “Take Me Out in a Snowstorm.”

The third and fourth grade students performed “Over the River,” “Kind Old Winter” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

“For the Winter,” “Snow is Falling” and “No School Tomorrow (If It Snows)” were performed by the combined fifth and sixth grade classes.

The fifth grade band performed “Rain, Rain,” “Hot Cross Buns,” and “Little Robin Redbreast.”

The sixth grade band brought the evening’s performances to a close with the seasonal selections of “The Dreidel Song,” “Kwanzaa Celebration” and “Jingle Bells.”

The vocal music choirs and bands were under the direction of NEH music instructor Elizabeth Schwanke. The choirs were accompanied on the piano by Matt Schutt.
