Next Generation Picnic is Wednesday
The Next Generation Picnic: Let’s Talk Issues to be held on Wednesday at West Twin Park Shelter, starting with food at 5:30 p.m. and conversations to start around 6 p.m.
The bipartisan event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.
When local organizer Kathy Getting was asked about the event, she explained, “We wanted to give the next generations an opportunity to discuss issues important to them. What would elected officials be talking about if they cared more about the next generations than their next election?
Hot dogs and loose meat sandwiches will be provided by the Hamilton County Democrats.
Paper plates and water will also be provided.
Democratic candidate and retired U.S. Navy officer Joe Sestak is expected attend and will arrive at 7:30 p.m.
Supervised childcare and will be available for children ages 2-7.
In case of bad weather, the event will be held at the Webster City Middle School.
