School board meets tonight

Superintendent’s evaluation on the agenda

The Webster City school board will meet Monday night at 6 p.m. at the administration building with the interim Webster City-Northeast Hamilton board meeting to follow.

On the agenda for the Webster City board is the annual evaluation of Superintendent Dr. Mandy Ross. Ross began her duties last July following the retirement of Mike Sherwood.

The evaluation will be held in closed session with Ross’ contract to be considered once the board comes into open session.

In other business, the board is expected to accept a donation from Van Diest Medical Center and consider the purchase of a discus net.

Two resignations on are on the agenda: Bryce Duncan, a Pleasant View paraeducator and Catherine Schoeder, the high school girls golf coach.

The interim board will look at the 2019-2020 bread and milk bids as well as looking at a contract with Grant Wood AEA for Infinite Campus Support.

The board will also discuss a proposed lease agreement for Riverview Early Childhood Center for 2019-2020.

A tentative agreement with the Webster City Educational Services Association is on the agenda as well as the proposed substitute pay rates.

In personnel action, the board will consider the appointments of Jennifer Crutcher from elementary special education to high school special ed; Ayn Eklund from high school science to th-12th grade math and science instructional coach; Lance Baetsle for high school science; Ashley Price for Sunset Heights special education; Greta Nelson for high school vocal music; Dennis Dilly and Aaron Grossoehme, for bus drivers.

The interim board will go into closed session for discussion of the emergency operations plan.
