The Relay for Life of Hamilton County will feature a silent auction Tuesday, June 19 when the annual event is held in Stanhope.

Two quilts created by the Stanhope Quilters will be part of the silent auction. Other items to be featured in the auction are Hawkeye Football tickets for the Sept. 28 game, gift certificates to Mornin’ Glory and Pickles Pub, Fuller Hall punch passes, a Pampered Chef skillet, items from the vintage shops in Jewell and many other items.

Luminaria bags will once again be offered to those who wish to make a donation in honor of a cancer survivor or in memory of someone who has passed away. The bags can be purchased at Webster City banks with a suggested donation of $10. Organizers said the forms can be filled out at the banks or they can be sent with a check to Pat Nokes, 992 Buxton Drive, Webster City. Luminaria will also be available for purchase the night of the Relay. That night, a candle will be lit inside of each bag and the names will be read aloud at 9 p.m.

Organizers also said donations for the Hope Lodge in Iowa City are being collected at the McFarland Clinic lobby in Webster City through June 19. Suggested donations include paper towels, dishwasher detergent pods, granola bars and chips, plain white printer paper, postage stamps, Walmart/HyVee gift cards, gas gift cards, new puzzles and games.
