One person dies in crash near Vincent

One man was killed and two other people were injured when two pickups slammed into each other at a rural intersection in eastern Webster County Sunday afternoon, the Iowa State Patrol reported. State Trooper Neil Morenz identified the dead man as Larry Dencklau, 72, of Eagle Grove. Noah Tesler, 20, of Fort Dodge, was injured in the crash at 170th Street and Xavier Avenue. Morenz said he was initially treated at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center and was then transferred to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Also injured was Nathan Tesler, 15, of Fort Dodge. He was treated at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center and was released, according to Morenz. Webster County sheriff’s deputies, Vincent firefighters, two ambulances from the Fort Dodge Fire Department, and a state Department of Natural Resources officer who was in the area responded to the crash along with state troopers.
