WC Rotary Club to host new event

Teams sought to solve the puzzle of Cold Case Lock and Clue Room

The Webster City Rotary Club has partnered with Riddle Me That — Escape Room in Okoboji to offer an new event to the area.

Teams can reserve their spot to try their puzzle and problem solving skills in The Cold Case Lock and Clue room held at Iowa Central Community College, Webster City Campus. The event is scheduled for March 1, 2, 8 and 9.

Organizers said this is a real-life game where groups of up to eight players have 30 minutes to escape from a themed, interactive environment. Team members work together to find items and clues to solve puzzles that eventually lead to solving the case.

Groups of two to eight people should sign up as a team to reserve their spot. There are many options for days and times.

This game is appropriate for children age 10 and older. The cost is $80 per team with proceeds to benefit the Webster City High School Band Boosters new uniform drive and the local backpack food program.

Organizers said the surest way to crack the case is by communicating openly with everyone else in the room. Share clues that are uncovered and work together to solve puzzles. Rotary officials said the event is perfect for families, friends, and social groups. This is also great for businesses looking to work on communication and team building.

Teams can sign up online at the Webster City Rotary Club Facebook page or visit Eventbrite.com.
