Sutter joins news staff at DF-J

Joe Sutter

The Daily Freeman-Journal is pleased to announce that Joe Sutter is joining the newsroom staff.

Sutter is originally from Manson and attended college in Ohio where he studied physics. He decided to pursue journalism because he liked the idea of sharing ideas and helping people know more about important issues.

He previously worked as a freelance writer for the Daily Freeman-Journal and has worked for The Messenger since 2012, where he covered lifestyles, county politics and general reporting assignments.

“I am excited to join the team here in Webster City, and learn more about the community,” Sutter said. “I love helping people learn more about what is going on in their town, and why. I also look forward to getting to know the coffee shop which the editor has told me so much about.”

Sutter can be reached at jsutter@freemanjournal.net or by calling 832-4350, ext. 38. He will be available Thursdays and Fridays.
