Threshing bee returns to Homer

Event to feature demonstrations, displays, oat threshing, corn shelling and swap meet

HOMER — The West Central Region Cockshutt & Co-op Club will hold the annual Antique Threshing Bee at Homer, located eight miles north of Stratford on Hamilton County Road R21.

The event will feature Minneapolis Moline, Depression-era tractors and Cockshutt 40, antique demonstrations and displays, a primitive farm museum, wood planing, Cecil Widick family antique sawmill, oat threshing, corn shelling, baling, ham radio demos, and a juried swap meet.

There will be a pancake breakfast provided by the Lions Club from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

On Sunday, weather permitting, there will be a tractor ride from Homer around Brushy Creek State Recreationn Area. This will begin at 9 a.m.
