Repairs begin
Work on the exterior of the Liberty Center Schoolhouse, located just south of the Intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 20, has begun. Throughout the years, Board of Trustee members Chairman Jerry Ose, township clerk Larry Jansen, Brad Anderson and Dan Schaa have worked to restore the structure. All the windows and the door have been replaced. The bell tower was also repaired. Recently, the structure received a new ceiling and a metal roof. And now new siding will be applied, thanks to donations that have been received. Those wishing to donate to the Liberty Center Schoolhouse fund may contact Larry Jansen at 2711 260th St., Kamrar, IA 50132.
