‘Remembering Our Fallen’ now on display in WC

Exhibit open through Saturday

—Daily Freeman-Journal photo by Adri Sietstra RIGHT: Webster City Middle School students take in the “Remembering Our Fallen” traveling memorial at RSVP Thursday afternoon.

“Remembering Our Fallen,” a traveling memorial wall, is on display now through Saturday, Oct. 28 at R.S.V.P., 749 Second St., in Webster City. The display is open to the public from noon to 7 p.m. There is no admission charge.

The memorial is a stark reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by Iowa soldiers killed in The War on Terror while wearing our country’s uniform in a war zone.

This photo memorial, which includes military and personal photos of each of Iowa’s fallen, is traveling throughout the state and will be coming to Webster City.

This memorial, and 18 other state memorials representing 60 percent of the nation’s fallen since Sept. 11, 2001, have been created by Patriotic Productions, a non-profit organization headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.

The goal is to complete a national traveling memorial that will include all of the country’s Fallen from The War on Terror. More information at: RememberingOurFallen.org or PatrioticProductions.org.
