Vietnam War Army veteran Jim Scott, of Stratford, gets a hug from his wife, Adele, Friday morning after sharing his story during an oral history recording event hosted by the local members of the Iowa Court Reporters Association at Iowa Central Community College’s East Campus. Scott earned 3 Purple Hearts and fought in the battle of Hamburger Hill. His story will be transcribed and included in the collection of the Library of Congress. During his time in the service, the couple wrote each other daily.
