Council meets tonight

Presentations by WBHPC, Williams & Company P.C. on agenda

The City Council of Webster City will observe two presentations tonight.

Williams & Company P.C. will present the 2015-2016 City of Webster City audit.

Gary Groves, Wilson Brewer Historic Committee Chairman, will update the council on potential plans and progress with Wilson Brewer Historic Park.

The first reading of a proposed ordinance amending Chapter 126 of the city ordinances concerning subdivision regulations is on the agenda for possible council approval.

A motion setting the time and date for a public hearing concerning the 2017-2018 Capital Improvement Budget and 2017-2018 through 2021-2022 Capital Improvement Plan for Monday, March 6 at 5:45 p.m. may be approved.

A motion setting a public hearing on the proposed 2017-2018 Budget for Monday, March 6 at 5:50 p.m. may be approved.

A resolution providing for the notice of a public hearing on proposed plans and specifications and proposed form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2017 Water System Improvement Project for Monday, March 20 at 5:45 p.m. is on the agenda for possible approval.

Also on the agenda is a request from Kent Harfst, Webster City Assistant Manager/ Recreation and Public Grounds Director, to seek proposals for a heater for the outdoor swimming pool.

A public hearing will be held at 5:45 p.m. concerning the proposed sale of a portion of city-owned property located in Lot 1, Wall Creek First Addition.

A resolution authorizing the execution of a quit claim deed conveying a portion of city-owned property in Lot 1, Wall Creek First Addition, to Debbie and Lynn Jaycox is on the agenda for possible approval.

A public hearing will be held at 5:50 p.m. on the proposed plans and specifications and proposed form of contract and estimate of cost for the Brewer Creek Estates 5th and 6th Additions Project.

A resolution approving and confirming plans, specifications and form of contract and estimate of cost for the Brewer Creek Estates 5th and 6th Additions Project is on the agenda for possible approval.

The council will meet in closed session towards the end of the meeting.
