Master’s Cup Poultry Show returns to the Fairgrounds

The Master’s Cup Poultry show returns to the Hamilton County Events Center at the Fairgrounds in Webster City, this Saturday.   The unique show was first held here in 2014.  The bird flu epidemic forced cancellation of last year’s show.

Entries are expected from at least ten states and several Iowa counties.

Poultry will be judged in their display cages by accredited judge Steve Beaty, Portales, New Mexico with Ronnie Lopes, a poultry breeder from Bermuda and Bermuda’s 2012 Entertainer of the Year as emcee.

A youth poultry workshop, in cooperation with the Iowa State University Block & Bridle Club, is scheduled for Saturday morning.  Workshop attendees will learn about poultry showmanship, bird disease and care and will also tour the McMurray Hatchery facilities.  Pre-registration was required.

McMurray Hatchery and the AmericInn Motel are assisting in hosting the show.

The show is open to the public from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m. in the Hamilton County Events Center on the Fairgrounds at no charge.
