City Council meets tonight

Recommendations from the Hotel/Motel Tax board for funding of local projects are on the Webster City City Council agenda for tonight.

A motion to accept the resignation of Fire Chief John Conyn is on the agenda for possible council approval.

The council will be discussing a nuisance property located at 421 Walnut St.

A resolution to fix a date for a public hearing on a proposal to enter into an Electric Revenue Loan Agreement and to borrow money thereunder in a principal amount not to exceed $1,000,000 to July 25 at 5:45 p.m. is on the agenda for possible approval.

A resolution to set August 15 at 5:45 p.m. for a public hearing concerning designation of the 2016 Industrial Urban Renewal Area on urban renewal plan and project is on the agenda for possible approval.

A resolution to transfer cash to the 240 Economic Development USDA Revolving Fund in connection with the Unites States Department of Agriculture Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant Program is on the agenda for possible council approval.

A resolution approving an increase in contract amount of $16,532.40 to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements South Digester Cover and North Primary Clarifier Project with Peterson Construction, of Webster City, is on the agenda for possible approval.

A resolution authorizing cigarette permits for Yesway stores at Superior and Second Street are on the agenda for possible approval.

The council will set a date, time, and place for an August Town Hall meeting.
