Rinehart joins staff of CFR

Christel Rinehart

Community and Family Resources (CFR), a local non-profit provider of behavioral health services, has welcomed Christel J. Rinehart, ARNP-BC to the agency as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Christel began seeing adolescent and adult clients earlier this year.

Rinehart said her professional goal is to enable others to maximize potential and achieve life ambitions. She developed in to her current role of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in steps, first obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bemidji State University. She quickly recognized a passion for mental health, which spurred her to return to school and pursue a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from North Dakota State University. After raising a young family, she went one step further and received her Master of Science degree from South Dakota State University in 2011.

She is board certified from the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and enjoys providing care for all those age six to ninety-six.

Rinehart is proud to call the Midwest home and thankful for the opportunity to serve those in this region. In her time away from work, she enjoys watching football and rodeo, camping and other outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and dogs.

Community and Family Resources offers substance abuse, mental health, and problem gambling treatment and prevention services. Counties served by CFR include Story, Webster, Boone, Hamilton, Wright, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Calhoun, Franklin, and Hardin. Last year, CFR provided behavioral health treatment services to 3,149 unduplicated individuals. CFR is the Iowa Department of Public Health’s designated provider of substance abuse treatment services in eight North-Central Iowa counties, including Webster County. For additional information or to set up an appointment, please visit CFR’s website at www.cfrhelps.org or call (515) 232-5811.
