Lillian Marie Chamness and Ryan Marshall Schany were united in marriage on August 2, 2025, at The Hotel Fort Des Moines in Des Moines.

The Rev. Cameron Scott officiated the evening ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Nicole Chamness, Blairsburg; Laurie Schany, Ames; and the late Monty Schany, Graettinger. Grandparents are Glenn and Mary Tjaden, Webster City.

Rosemary Chamness, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Boersma, Katie Chamness, sister-in-law of the bride; and Gina Weber. Taylor Olson and Leah Lawrence served as personal attendants.

Nick Schany, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kass Schany, brother of the groom; Drew Skattebo and Daniel Billingsley.

The ringbearers were Cooper, Emmet and Spencer Chamness, nephews of the bride. Blair Williamson and Avery Henningsen, nieces of the groom, served as flower girls.

Ushers were Jake Enderton, Joel Alderson, and Stephen and Truman Chamness, brothers of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner at The Walnut, Des Moines, was hosted by the groom’s mother. A dinner and dance reception following the wedding ceremony was hosted by the bride’s parents.

The couple honeymooned in Boston and Acadia National Park in Maine and reside in Des Moines.
