Sjoberg, Bergeson exchange vows

Shelly and David Bergeson

Shelly Sjoberg and David Bergeson, both of Webster City, were married Dec. 3, 2016, at Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City with Pastor Michael Slininger officiating.

Parents of the couple are Linda and (the late) Chuck McFarland, and Jim and Kay Bergeson, all of Webster City.

Standing up with the couple were their four children, Zac and Meghan Sjoberg, John and Luke Bergeson; the brides mother and matron of honor, Linda McFarland, as well as sister of the bride, Kathy Smith.

Flower girls and ring bearers were the bride’s great nieces and nephews, Allison and Emily Mourlam, Jada Mourlam and Arica and Keith Honkomp and Jayce Carlson, as well as friend of the couple, Easton Alexander.

The bride’s mother escorted her down the aisle to Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love.”

The couple exchanged personalized vows after lighting a candle together in unity and love. This flame was then used to start a circle of light as all in attendance had candles. The candlelit ceremony signified the light of the Lord, and the light, love and support of family members and friends through the years, as well as honoring those in heaven.

The couple was honored to have Pastor Lenny Carlson of Eagle Grove participate in the ceremony as well, reading scripture.

A reception was held at the Ed Prince Building, where guests enjoyed a meal catered by Hickory Park in the winter wonderland themed decor. Host and hostess were Tim and Holly Mortenson, Kamrar, and Tracy Borst and Janette Oppermann of Colorado Springs, CO.

The bride is employed as a Project Development Manager at Cactus Family Farms in Webster City and the groom as Production Manager at Webster City Custom Meats.
