Abigail Cousins awarded degree from UA

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — Abigail Cousins. of Blairsburg, has received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama. UA awarded more than 6,000 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies.

Area students are on SNHU President’s List

Southern New Hampshire University named the following local students to the Spring 2025 President's List. The spring terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer. Included are: Lindsay Kroeger, of Radcliffe; Adam Titus, of Jewell.

Local college graduates earn diverse degrees

CEDAR RAPIDS — Kyle Chieng was among a group of exceptional graduates this past year at Coe College. Chieng, of Webster City, was awarded a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Music Education. SEWARD, Neb. — Concordia University, Nebraska, awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees to more than 430 graduates in May. That included: Emma Shane, of Webster City, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Education.
