Hamilton County Supervisors meet Tuesday morning

The Hamilton County supervisors will meet Tuesday morning in the Hamilton County courthouse basement conference room at 2300 Superior St. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. The Briggs Woods Conference center will be discussed during the meeting.

Depot Museum open Friday and Saturday

The museum located within the Wilson Brewer Park will be open on Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. The Depot Museum is located within the Wilson Brewer Park, where parking is available at 220 Ohio St. The museum is positioned along Superior Street, accessible from either the east or west door.

Comic Book artist to speak Saturday at Mulberry Center Church

Phil Hester will be speaking at the Mulberry Center Church at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Hester is a full-time comic book artist who illustrates and creates for the top comic book companies, in addition to creating characters that have made their way to film and television. Hester will both demonstrate some of his creative skill, talk about his path to this type of a career, and have books available for purchase. There is no fee to attend the program, however a freewill offering is encouraged to assist with the costs of upkeep of the church and programs.

Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid Jr.’ opens Friday night

Nearly 40 area children will help bring Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” to life on the Webster City Community Theatre stage this weekend. Performances are scheduled for June 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m., and June 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children aged 18 and younger. Comic Book Artist presents program at Mulberry Center Church Saturday

Phil Hester, a professional American comic book artist, will be presenting a program at the Mulberry Center Church on Saturday at 1 p.m. The church is in Wilson Brewer Park located at 220 Ohio St. Hester has created characters that have appeared in films such as “Suicide Squad” and “Ant-Man” in addition to television shows like “Arrow,” “Batman: The Caped Crusader” and “Superman and Lois.” Hester lives in North English, Iowa.
