Community Cross Walk on Good Friday

The Asbury United Methodist Church is organizing a community Cross Walk throughout Webster City on Friday. This will begin at 3:30 p.m. from the Asbury Methodist church at 921 Des Moines St. The walk will begin from the church, and go to Second Street to Seneca Street, Ohio Street to Beach Street, then back to the church. This walk is to commemorate the final walk Jesus made through the streets prior to his crucifixion. There will be various stops along the route, with prayers and short readings. Women’s Club opens Saturday with new exhibits

The Webster City Women’s Club will be opening its 2026 exhibits at the Jane Young House this Saturday at 10 a.m. The Jane Young House is located at 629 Elm St., where the new vintage clothing exhibits are assembled. The Jane Young House exhibits are open to the public each month on the fourth Saturday. The house is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those Saturdays. S.A.L.T. program Thursday at Van Diest Medical Center

The S.A.L.T. meeting for the month of April will be held Thursday in Clinic Board Room at Van Diest Medical Center. This will begin at 9 a.m. The Medical Center is located at 2350 Hospital Drive in Webster City. Refreshments will be served and Van Diest Medical Center personnel will provide free blood pressure checks. Kristi Zwiefel, VDMC dietitian, will explain how eating 30 different plants in a week will benefit your gut health. S.A.L.T. meetings are free and open to the public. The meetings are held bi-monthly at locations throughout Hamilton County.

Van Diest Medical Center Board of Trustees to meet Tuesday

The board of trustees for the Van Diest Medical Center will meet Tuesday at noon at the Clinic Board room. On the agenda are the approval of capital requests under new business and the approval of the fiscal year 2027 tax asking and budget There will also be a hospital update from CEO Lisa Ridge, in addition to a growth and community pillar report.
