The Webster City Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for the ownership change of Osweiler’s this Friday at noon. Osweilers is located at 625 Second St. in Webster City. Blood Drive at VDMC is Thursday

The Webster City Community Blood Drive is scheduled from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Van Diest Medical Center Clinic Board room. The clinic is located at 2350 Hospital Drive. Appointments are encouraged by calling 800-287-4903. Walk-ins are welcomed. Blood donors will receive a Scooters cookie and a 20% coupon for the Hospital Gift shop.

Hospital Auxiliary scholarships available

The Van Diest Medical Center Auxiliary is offering six scholarships of $1,000 each to 2026 high school graduates wishing to pursue a career in healthcare. Individuals going back to further their education in the healthcare field will also be considered. Applicants must be a resident of Hamilton County or a graduate of any high school within Hamilton County, currently working or have a parent working at Van Diest Medical Center at the time of the award.
