Williams Lions Independence Day celebration begins Friday

For the 74th year, members of the Williams Lions Club are organizing two days of events to celebrate the 250th year of America’s Independence.

Events kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday with the kids parade, with line-up by the bank. The Iowa Falls State Bank will sponsor a free meal by the ball diamond, and at 7 p.m., kickball games will commence for ages 4-7 and 8-12.

On Saturday, the parade kicks off at 10 a.m.. All parade entries check in at the IAS co-op office at the north end of town and must be registered by 9:30 a.m.

A full day of activities continues with a concert at the ball diamond from 6 to 9 p.m. and fireworks at about 9:45 p.m.
