Summer Reading kickoff to be May 31
Kendall Young Library will be hosting a Family Summer Kickoff Party at the end of May
The Kendall Young Library will be celebrating the coming of summer with a Family Summer Kickoff Party on the lawn at 1201 Willson Ave.
This will be held on Sunday, May 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
There will be live music and food for all ages. This fun family event will offer games, face painting, and a balloon artist. Bring your lawn chair and the whole family for this great event.
The Summer Reading kickoff party is being sponsored by Fareway Meat & Grocery.
Plant a Seed, Read will be the theme for Summer 2026 and will begin on June 1. Watch for programs, activities, and events for all ages as the summer kicks off!
Summer Weekly Programs
Tuesdays: 10:30-11:30 a.m. – Wild Things (TK-2nd Grade)
Wednesdays: 10:30-11:30 a.m. – Fuzzy Ducklings (0-3 years old)
Thursdays: 10:30-11:30 a.m. – Hungry Caterpillars (4 years old)
Fridays: 10:30-11:30 a.m.-Tweens (3rd-5th Grade)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00-11:30 a.m. – Teens (6th-12th Grade)
Age and grade is determined by Fall 2026 level.
