Legacy Learning- Boone River Valley invites community to creative JunqueFest stop
Legacy Learning Boone River Valley will offer a unique creative reuse experience during JunqueFest this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Their location is at 719 Seneca St. in Webster City.
Visitors are invited to stop in throughout the day to explore free reclaimed yarn and textile fiber available for creative projects including string art, weaving, crochet, macrame, fiber sculpture, and more. Community members are encouraged to take materials home, create something unique, and share their finished projects to help inspire others through creative reuse.
In addition to the reclaimed fiber giveaway, guests can create their own unique pair of earrings for a free-will donation while enjoying a comfortable air-conditioned place to relax during JunqueFest activities.
Legacy Learning will also offer free coffee, conversation, and information about upcoming creative opportunities available through its Coffee & Create program and future workshops.
“We love finding ways to give materials a second life while encouraging creativity and community connection,” said representatives from Legacy Learning Boone River Valley. “This is a fun opportunity for people to slow down, get inspired, and take part in something creative.”
The organization asks visitors to take only what they will use so more community members can participate.
