The American Legion Post 191 will be coordinating the removal of the flags the week after Memorial Day. Those who own and store their personal flags will need to remove those on Tuesday.

The Legion also encourages community members to assist who are able to join Legion coordinators on Wednesday to take down the remainder of the flags. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday — Personal (family) flags should be removed.

Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. — Flags and pole tops will be removed and stored followed by the removal of the pole base with the ground plugs put in place again. Volunteers are needed and welcomed.

Volunteers should meet at the Avenue of Flags building on Ohio Street (pull in and go around back).
