Kendall Young has events for all ages scheduled for April

Teen Events

Teen Lounge — Patrons in 6th-12th grade are invited Tuesdays in April from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Teen Lounge will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 21, and 28. Join us weekly for special activities, video games, snacks, crafts, board games, and more.

This time and place is perfect to hang out with friends and is a come-and-go style event.

Homeschool TECH BUILD — Students will have time to Engineer Your Imagination. From 1 to 3 p.m. on April 16, patrons will have the opportunity to free build using supplies from the STEM Cart. A variety of kits will be available to get you started as needed. This is designed for youths in second through 12th grades and will be held each month in the Teen Area. Parent participation is encouraged.

No School Movie Matinee — Patrons ages 8 years old through 12th grade are invited to relax and watch a movie on April 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Teen Area of the library, 1201 Willson Ave. The movie will be “Garfield — A Tail of Two Kitties” (1hour, 26 minutes).

Bring a friend and popcorn will be provided.

As always, every day the Teen area located in the Kendall Young Library, 1201 Willson Ave offers a variety of crafts, board games, community Lego build, Chromebooks, video games, books, and STEM Cart activities that are always available.

Children’s special programming in April
