CORRECTION: Hamilton County public hearing for maximum tax levy set for 6 p.m. on March 25

The public hearing for the Hamilton County maximum levy is an evening meeting, which will be at 6 p.m. on March 25.

After that first hearing there will also be a hearing for the Assessors budget and levy.

To be clear, once the proposed property tax levy is published for the March 25 hearing, the levy amount cannot be increased; it can only be lowered from that point forward. Budgets for the county cannot be finalized prior to this public hearing.

Other entities may approved their budgets during their public hearings.
