April adult programs planned for Kendall Young Library
The Adult Evening Book Club discussion will be about “Ragtime” by E.L. Doctorow. This book club will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. on April 8 at the Kendall Young Library.
The April Book Club discussion will be on “A Cow for College” by James Kenyon. We will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 14 at the Kendall Young Library to listen to a book talk with author James Kenyon to discuss. A book for the May Book Club will be announced at this time.
The Silent Book Club will meet at Seneca Street Saloon, located at 919 Seneca St., from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on April 16. Bring your own book to the Saloon, grab a drink, and enjoy an introvert happy hour. This event is always the third Thursday of each month.
Kendall Young Library, in conjunction with the Webster City Police Department, will host a Women’s Self-Defense Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 11. This event is open to ages 13 and up. The event is free and does not require registration.
Kendall Young Library will be exploring Women of Natural History with Kim White at 10:30 a.m. on April 18 at the library. Throughout history women have made significant observations that have changed our understanding of the natural world.
