Snowshoe Hike this morning at Briggs Woods
The Hamilton County Conservation office will host a snowshoe hike at the Briggs Woods park this morning at 10 a.m.
The Conservation office is located at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail.
The hike begins at the Conservation Office, where there will be a presentation on snow shoe basics, and then all will hike with snow shoes together on the golf course.
The activity will end with a warm bowl of soup at the conservation office. All participants are asked to bring a crock pot of soup to share with others after the hike. A mild chili and chicken noodle soup will be provided by Naturalist John Laird. A limited number of snow shoes are available, so those who have their own snowshoes are asked to bring their own. If the snow has disappeared, there will still be a hike on the park trails.
For registration, go to www.mycountyparks.com. For questions, contact John Laird at 515-297-0423.
