Kendall Young Library offering unique Adult programs in March
Iowa Scenic Views by Foot with Tyler Sullivan
Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. the library will participants for a morning of adventure with Tyler Sullivan. When you think of Iowa, what are things that come to mind? Did you know that Iowa has 99 counties, and 101 courthouses? Tyler Sullivan has been to 97 out of the 99 counties, and has been to 1,300 cities across the state. In 2024 he traveled to over 150 museums across the state, and in 2025 he challenged himself to visit 250 museums and attractions across the state an saw an astonishing 366 attractions. Over 500 in the last two years alone. Come and listen to his adventures he has experienced across Iowa.
Adult Do It Yourself – DIY
An Adult DIY on Tuesday, March 24 from 5:30-6:30PM. Patrons can Bedazzle a Book. You can bring your favorite book cover or we will have some options available. This event is free and does not require registration. Bring a friend and enjoy the evening out.
Fiber Arts Hangout
On Thursday, March 26 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. fiber artisans are invited to come to the library to work on your favorite fiber arts project. Other patrons will be available to help if a beginner with crochet, but everyone is welcome to bring personal projects to work on and socialize. This is a fun time to relax and learn from others. All ages 16+ are invited to come and some supplies will be available. There is no registration required.
SPICE Club
The KYL Spice of the Month Club will be featuring celery seed beginning Friday, March 6. Samples will be available throughout the month while supplies last.
This is a fun way to explore different cultures and flavors. Each month there will be a featured herb or spice. A limited number of kits will be available each month with a small sample, information about the spice, and a couple recipes will be available to try.
