Ag Pest Control Course to be held in Webster City Feb. 11

The Ag Pest Control Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) Categories 1A, 1B, and 1C will be held Wed., Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.at the ISU Extension and Outreach office for Hamilton County.

This office is located at 311 Bank St. in Webster City. To pre-register call 515-832-9597

This course is designed for certified commercial pesticide applicators needing yearly continuing instruction in the following categories:

• 1A-Weed Control

• 1B-Insect Control

• 1C-Disease Control Certified Crop Adviser (CCA)

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered at this program. Please bring your CCA number if interested.

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. to check-in at the extension office. To receive credit, you must be seated prior to 9:00 a.m.

There will be a welcome from the Hamilton County extension staff. The program will address:

• Personal protective equipment and safe handling

• Professionalism, storage of pesticides, including chemical security

• Pests, pest management and pesticides
