Hamilton County Peace Officers Association considering Citizens Academy
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s office is seeking individuals to participate in a Citizens Academy in 2026.
This would involve commiting to attending a class once a week for eight to 10 weeks in the spring.
The Sheriff’s Office is intentionally avoiding the most active farming season to encourage more participants.
At least 20 participants would be necessary to start the academy. The weekly meetings would help those involved learn about the different aspects of law enforcement.
