Women’s Club will host a Halloween mystery event

For those who like mysteries on Halloween, the Webster City Women’s Club will present two mysteries in which kids and young adults may participate on Saturday, October 25, at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm Street, Webster City.
These mysteries will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kids ages 5 to 8 will use a Halloween color wheel to travel from one clue to the next to finally reveal their treat.
The other mystery, entitled “What Would Make Jane Happy?” is for older children, including teens and adults. They will be provided a pamphlet with a true story of Kendall Young panning for gold in California. Fabricated to make it a mystery, participants will decode four different ciphers until reaching the famous “box” which will reveal the truth of what Kendall left Jane.
But! How do you open the box? Once more participants must figure out the secret number to crack the lock.
Join your hosts and use your sleuthing skills to decode the mystery
This event is free.
Visitors are also welcome to stay and view the clothing exhibit “Let’s All Go To The Movies.” The Women’s Club accepts freewill donations to view the exhibit.
