‘Let’s all go to the movies!’

“Let’s all go to the movies!”
This has been a common theme in Webster City with the re-opening of the Webster Theater. If you are a fan of any of these well known classics — “Gone With the Wind,” “Dr. Zhivago,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “My Fair Lady,” or “Titanic” — you’ll enjoy a stroll through the second story exhibit at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm Street, Webster City.
The fashions have a flair. After all, who isn’t an admirer of Scarlet’s period costumes in “Gone With the Wind?”
The clothing exhibit is open for public viewing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 24.
The full tour includes both both upper and lower floors with a summary of Kendall Young’s life and legacy. It’s also a great opportunity to see the newly remodled kitchen blending the old with the new in a beautiful yet functional way. You might event talk with one of the docents at the house about the possibility of renting this special house for your next party, shower, graduation or reunion.
Entrance to the house and exhibit is a $5 donation per person.
