Kendall Young Library has programs throughout November

Kendall Young Library monthly adult programs throughout the month of November include:

Adult Book Club — You can join the November Book Club discussion about the book “The Life We Bury” by Allen Eskens. Discussion is on Tuesday, November 12, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Adult Evening Book Club — You can join the adult evening book club discussion on the book “Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood” by Trevor Noah. Books are available at Kendall Young Library. Discussion is on Wednesday, November 13, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Books & Bourbon Silent Book Club — Kendall Young Library is working with Wildcat Distilling Co. to offer patrons a Silent Book Club. Adults are invited to gather at Wildcat Distilling Co. on Thursday, November 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Bring a book, grab a drink, and enjoy an introvert happy hour. This event will be held at Wildcat Distilling Co., 626 Second Street, Webster City and will be held the third Thursday of each month.

Adult DIY — Adult DIY is on Tuesday, November 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. You can make a bow wreath to help kick off holiday decorating. Bring a friend to this free event. No sign-up is required.

SPICE Club — Add some spice to your life in November with the Spice of the Month: ground mustard. Beginning Friday, November 1, samples will be available while they last.

The library will host a variety of teen events throughout November.

Teen Lounge — Sixth through 12th graders are invited each Tuesday and Thursday in November from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for special activities, video games, snacks, crafts, and board games. It’s a time and place to hang out with friends in a come-and-go style.

Homeschool TECH BUILD — Students will have time to work on a rubber band racer on Thursday, November 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. Build and modify the project. This is designed for youths third through 12th grade and will be held each month in the teen area.

Early Out Movies (8-year-olds to 12th-graders) — Youth are invited on Wednesday, November 13, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., to watch “Inside Out 2.” Popcorn provided.

As always, the teen area located in the Kendall Young Library offers a variety of board games, community Lego build, Chromebooks, video games, books, and STEM cart activities that are always available.

The library will also host children’s events throughout November.

Tales Around the Town — Kendall Young Library along with local Webster City businesses will be taking storytime on the road. Each week families are invited to meet at a designated location, hear a story and experience the host location. November is full of excitement as we visit new places. No registration required. Just follow the signs for the fun.

November 11 — Interior Spaces, 631 2nd Street — 5:30 p.m.

November 18 — Riverview Early Childhood Center, 705 Odell Street — 5:30 p.m.

November 25 — Kendall Young Library, 201 Willson Avenue — 5:30 p.m.

Wild Things (PreK through second) will meet on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5 p.m. This time will offer a variety of stories and activities each week.

Fuzzy Ducklings (under 3 years) will meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. This is a parent/child experience.

Tween’s Time (third through fifth grade) will meet on Thursdays from 3:45 to 5 p.m. They will explore crafts, STEM, cooking and so much more.
