New Jane Young House exhibit focuses on ‘Little Black Dress’

The Jane Young House and Women’s Club Clothing Exhibit will be open Saturday, May 25, at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm Street, Webster City.

The exhibit is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with guides for tours of the main and upper floors.

One of our newest displays in two rooms is the “Little Black Dress” in all shapes and sizes covering a span of over 100 years. Visitors will also learn more about their neighbors on Willson Avenue.

The fourth room will reflect a visit to the World’s Fair. Did you know Kendall took his wife, Jane, to the International Exposition in Paris, France, in 1867?

Entrance to the exhibit is a $5 donation per person.
