The reunion was held at the Grid Iron Sports Bar.

Pictured during the reunion are, first row from left, Ruth Brewer Hinderks, of Webster City; Belva Bateman Strain, of Waterloo; and Georgianna Crystal Gourley, of Fort Dodge.

On this day in 1948, Webster City organized the Civic Music Group Association of Webster City during a meeting in the Kendall Young Library, according to Daily Freeman-Journal archives. The purpose of the association was to present a series of concerts by nationally known artists each season in Webster City.

Also on this day in 1948, Mrs. Ella Stafford of this city discovered a new way of growing her own potatoes–buy some at the store and forget them in the basement. Some of them multiplied.
