Vintage clothing open hours resume this weekend at the Jane Young House

The Vintage Clothing exhibit at the Jane Young House will resume its hours on Saturday, August 26.

Those hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guides from the Webster City Women’s Club will lead tours of the historic home of Kendall and Jane Young.

The home is located at 629 Elm Street in Webster City, just west of the Kendall Young Library.

During the tour you can learn about the lives of the Youngs, who were some of Webster City’s earliest and most profound philanthropists, and see the beautiful 150-year-old home inside and up close. The current exhibits are located on the second floor.

Please notice the new paint trim and grasses to the east.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Webster City Women’s Club, there is no charge for the tour, although freewill donations will be accepted.

On Sunday, September 17, a homemade ice cream social for the public is planned at the Jane Young House. Treats can be enjoyed in the cool indoors, out on the veranda on wicker patio furniture, or curbside to take with you in your car.

Small group tours can be arranged by contacting Loween Getter at 515 297 0846 or JoAnn Robb at 515 310 0397.
