Webster City Boy Scout Troop 17 was the recipient of a generous $4,000 donation last weekend from three local Halloween enthusiasts. Dave and Shelly Bergeson and Jamie Seiser hosted The Haunted Barn Oct. 29-30 at the Bergeson’s acreage 5 miles east of Webster City. During the two nights, visitors wound their way through three interconnected buildings filled with actors, animatronics and scary scenes. People from 45 towns came out to experience the haunt.

A check was presented to current co-Scoutmaster Bill Baldwin and members of Boy Scout Troop 17 at their weekly meeting Sunday afternoon. The donation will be used to pay half of all of Troop 17’s members summer camp registration fees, as well future Scouting activities.
