SALT meetings to resume
Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) Meeting to be Held
Organizers of the Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) program have announced they are resuming their meeting schedule once again.
The next SALT Meeting will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Briggs Woods Park, Shelter #2, in Webster City. The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a breakfast social and free blood pressure checks conducted by Van Diest Medical Centerstaff.The meeting will get underway at 9:30 a.m. with updates from local and county law enforcement officers as well as reports from county agencies and communities throughout Hamilton County.
The program will feature John Laird with Hamilton County Conservation, giving an update on recent campground renovations at Briggs Woods Park along with a discussion of the upcoming 2021 scheduled public naturalist programs. John will also bring some mammal skins and discuss the importance of hunting in maintaining Iowa’s wildlife population.
SALT Meetings are held bi-monthly at different locations throughoutHamilton County. Meetings are free and the public is encouraged to attend.
