National Honor Society seeks shoe donations

Students conduct shoe drive to help local organizations throughout the community

The Webster City High School National Honor Society is conducting a shoe drive, using the proceeds to donate to organizations in need throughout the community. The shoe drive kicked off May17 and will run through the fall. Anyone with gently worn, sed or new shoes may donate them at boxes posted throughout town and at the highschool. Donors are asked to ensure pairs of shoes are bound together by laces or rubber bands.

Once enough shoes are collected, NHS will send them to Funds2Orgs and receive funds in return. The shoes will get a new home and make a difference in the lives of people around the world.

In addition to the high school, drop-off boxes are available at Abens Realty, Riverview and Webster City Daycare, Fareway, First State Bank, Fuller Hall, Stratford Elementary, and pools in Webster City and Stratford (once they open).
