Brothers make memorial donation
Mark and Andy Glascock presented a donation to the Kendall Young Library Thursday morning, in memory of their late mother, Jean Glascock, on what would have been her 83rd birthday.
Jean Glascock died on March 10.
Her sons donated $1,500 to the library, where their mother worked for 25 years. She worked for three library directors and served as the home service librarian, choosing and delivering library materials to the home-bound residents of Webster City. She also spent time working at the circulation desk, in the children’s department and answerng questions at the reference desk.
She continued working at the library until her retirement in 1999. She was also active in the community as a volunteer at Crestview Senior Living, Southfield Wellness Community, delivering Meals on Wheels and as a member of the community choir for many years.
