STANHOPE – Skeeter the Clown entertained youngsters Thursday morning at the Stanhope library.

She was in town to help promote the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus that’s coming to Jewell for two performances on Saturday, Aug. 10. Shows will be at 2 and 4:30 p.m. in the city park.

The circus, now in its 34th edition, is an authentic big top circus that’s sponsored locally by Jewell Area Development Enterprise (J.A.D.E.). Tickets for the two shows can be purchased at the door or in advance for a reduced fee at the Sew Bee It Quilt Shop, Availa Bank, and First State Bank, all in Jewell.

Skeeter traveled on to libraries in Ellsworth and Jewell after completing her show in Stanhope on Thursday.
