S.A.L.T. to meet Aug.1 in Kamrar

The Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) Program is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Kamrar Lions Building in Kamrar.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a free breakfast and a meeting to follow beginning at 9:30 a.m. with updates from local and county law enforcement officers as well as reports from county agencies and communities throughout Hamilton County.

The program will feature Iowa History Expert Linda McCann from Shell Rock, Iowa, talking about Prison of War Camps in Iowa. Attendees will explore Iowa history with one of the state’s most prolific researchers and writers. Linda has traveled and spoken to hundreds of groups about the history and narrative of Iowa, including what is still here to photograph and research, as well as what has been lost to time.

S.A.L.T. Meetings are held bi-monthly at different locations in Hamilton County. Meetings are free and the public is encouraged to attend.
