Kayla Miller, Webster City, is the swine nutritional services summer intern at AMVC, a diversified swine management company.

AUDUBON — AMVC Nutritional Services, headquartered in Audubon, Iowa, has announced Kayla Miller will serve as a nutritional services intern. She is the daughter of Randy and Erica Miller of Webster City.

Throughout the summer, Miller will visit several AMVC sow farms and learn what the day to day of feeding pigs and being a swine nutritionist for a large pork production system entails. During her internship, she will be able to gain new knowledge and network amongst AMVC employees and pork industry professionals.

AMVC swine nutritionist, Dr. Trey Kellner, PhD., is looking forwarding to mentoring Miller saying, “It is a pleasure to welcome Kayla Miller and her elite skill set to our team at AMVC Nutritional Services. She was selected out of several outstanding applications and candidates for this research internship. AMVC will highly value the data she is able to generate via her research projects this summer. It is our objective to provide Kayla with the best experience possible.”

This internship will complement her degree in animal science as she enters her senior year at Iowa State University. Miller aspires for a career in the pork industry, specifically in nutrition, after graduation. She says this internship will confirm her career plans.
