Greenfield awarded 4-H Foundation scholarship

AMES – Katie Greenfield from Hamilton County, was awarded the Oster Journalism 4-H Scholarship through the Iowa 4-H Foundation at the recognition ceremony Sunday, June 2 in Ames.

The Iowa 4-H Foundation has announced the recipients of over 100 Iowa 4-H scholarships valued at over $115,000. Recipients accepted their awards on Sunday, June 2 at the Foundation’s scholarship recognition ceremony held in the Scheman Building at Iowa State University. Over 400 applications were submitted and scholarships have been awarded to recipients from 50 counties across the state of Iowa with a wide variety of 4-H experiences.

Greenfield is a sophomore at Iowa State University majoring in communication studies with a minor in business. In her future she hopes to act as an ambassador and advocate for agriculture in the political world. She credits her 4-H experiences with developing her love of communication and speaking for the agricultural industry.
