Hisler named Woman of Year
Members of the Beta Theta, Gamma Omicron, Beta Chi, and Delta Upsilon chapters of Beta Sigma Phi met April 29 to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the founding of the international women’s organization. Thirty members enjoyed social time, a catered meal and program at the Jane Young House.
Master of Ceremonies Jeanne Hill led us in celebrating “A Quilt of Friendship.” The guest speaker was Joan Hisler who spoke about the Hamilton County Free Clinic. Cheryl Schneider is shown congratulating her as the chapters’ Woman of the Year.
Other highlights of the evening were the message from Laura Ross Wingfield, granddaughter of the founder Walter W. Ross; annual summaries by each chapter, announcement of prize winners; and the announcement of next year’s theme “The Power of the Dream.”
